CORPORATE MATCHING GIFTS

Many employers match charitable giving by their employees. The match multiplies the value of the original donation at no cost to the employee.

For instance, Bank of America offers a 1:1 match on employee gifts up to $5,000.

If a donor gives $5,000 to the Foundation for Self Leadership, and her partner is employed at Bank of America or Merrill Lynch, they can apply for a $5,000 match. The Foundation receives a total of $10,000 to further the mission. The donor is recognized by the Foundation for the full amount of the gift including the corporate match.

It is possible to leverage matching gifts even if your current employer does not have such a program. Retirees, spouses or other family members may qualify for a corporate match.

Search below to determine an employer’s eligibility and application process for corporate matching gifts. Then Contact Us with any questions and we can help you through the process.
