TRIBUTES
Any gift to the Foundation for Self Leadership can be made in honor or memory of a special person. The person being honored or the next-of-kin will receive notice that such a gift was made by you without reference to the gift amount.
DONOR-ADVISED FUND
Donor-advised funds are the fastest-growing charitable giving vehicle in the United States because they are one of the easiest and most tax-advantageous ways to give to charity. If you have a DAF, simply advise your fund manager to distribute a specific amount to the Foundation for Self Leadership (EIN 20-1318139) at PO Box 5730, Hillsborough NJ 08844.
GIFTS OF STOCK
There are several financial benefits to transferring appreciated securities: you receive the full current market value of the stock on the date of transfer; that amount is deductible on federal income tax returns; and you avoid capital gains. QUALIFIED CHARITABLE DISTRIBUTION
If you have a traditional Individual Retirement Account, you must begin taking minimum required distributions once you reach the age of 70½ and these distributions are taxable at ordinary income rates.
You can distribute the minimum required amount as a charitable gift, in which case you avoid paying income tax on the distributions.

ABOUT THE NEW MAGAZINE
Background: Since 2015, the Foundation for Self Leadership has published OUTLOOK, a semi-annual magazine, in print and online. OUTLOOK shared experiential and empirical evidence about the efficacy of IFS. OUTLOOK told the stories of practitioners who are expanding IFS: combining with other psychotherapeutic approaches; going into law, medicine, finance, spirituality and beyond. In doing so, the magazine has helped build the IFS community of practice and supported key strategies to advance the practice of Self leadership in the world. Readers have been inspired to see inner healing as a critical step toward building social harmony.
Vision: As we seek to take our work beyond a relatively insular community, the Foundation for Self Leadership is now closing the cover on OUTLOOK and launching a new online magazine (to debut in Summer 2022). This publication will build bridges toward a greater vision of consciousness, justice and peace in the world, as the Foundation for Self Leadership provides thought-leadership in the space of individual and collective healing.
Format: The new magazine will be published in an engaging and dynamic web-based format on its own domain.
- Traffic to the site will be driven by SEO strategy, social media posts and email marketing to nearly 60,000 members of the growing IFS community of practice (our program has a consistently high rate of "opens" and "clicks").
- Recipients/readers of the magazine are currently primarily psychologists and psychotherapists, life and business coaches, therapy clients, and a wide range of individuals who care about the world of emotions and how they affect behavior.
